YOU'RE NOT WELCOME ANYMORE

WHY IT'S IMPORTANT TO HELP PARENTS CONTINUE TO ACCESS FOOTBALL WITH YOUNG CHILDREN

Football should be for everyone. For us, it’s not as much fun unless everybody that can be is there, and as much as possible, we want to see a future where football is accessible for all.

Around a year ago, we noticed some differences in rules between Premier League stadiums for allowing under-5s to attend, so we decided to investigate this further. We’ve put those investigations and our further analysis into a report, which we encourage anyone interested in improving inclusivity in football to read.

Let's normalise this image at games.

“Going to football before kids was everything. The stories flowed from being part of something.…now everything has changed. I barely go to any games. It’s not just the football you miss out on, but the whole experience.” -  Rose M.

WHAT CAN WE DO ABOUT THIS?

We’re now asking clubs to look at their current policies and consider ways to make their matchday experience and beyond more family-friendly. We have plenty of thoughts on this, which we discuss in the report, and will be happy to speak to clubs and ask that they get in touch if they want to know more.

We think this area of football needs to change, and we’ll be working with the Football Supporters’ Association to bring this issue to groups that need to learn more and can impact change - the Premier League, the EFL, the FA and SGSA, amongst others.

INTERESTED IN THIS CAMPAIGN?

We want to hear from anyone impacted by the arrival of children into their lives and how this has changed their ability to support their team. For those driven away from the sport you love, please get in touch and share your stories.

We also ask that you write to your club, your supporters' trust and any other groups that could help us in this drive for change. Awareness is the first step, and we need people to understand how impactful this lack of help is for parents.

We'll be contacting clubs to ask them to review their policy. Make sure that you keep up to date with our work by following our social channels (Instagram | X | LinkedIn).
